brushless fan motor for motor vehicle and
battery-powered applications.
Brushless motors are always known for their
efficiency and long-life performance;
however, their costs are always too high to
enter the motor vehicle industries. S&S Tech
has made a brushless motor that meets
tough standards with low cost in mind for the
motor vehicle market. The motor has passed
tests such as stall testing, load dump testing,
high temperature testing, and vehicle testing.
All of S&S Tech’s fan motors feature
integrated controllers, neodymium magnet
rotors, aluminum housings and double ball
bearings, reverse polarity protection, current
limiting, current surge elimination, and high
efficiency. Unlike a brush motor, S&S Tech’s
motor does not surge current at each start.
Average of 80% efficiency means the
brushless motor can provide better
performance without drawing more current
from the alternator. Due to its unique
mounting design, the brushless motor can be
fitted to many popular fan assemblies for a
quick brush to brushless conversion.
A standard S&S Tech’s fan motor has
simple two-wire leads for the purpose of
quick installation. An alternative model
providing 0-5vdc speed signal wires is
available for special demands. S&S Tech’s
fan motors are available at 12v and 24v.
Higher voltages such as 36v, 48v, and
hundreds of volts are available upon special
requests.
S&S Tech’s fan motors are ideal for radiator
cooling, transit HVAC systems, transport
refrigeration, trucks, off-road and
construction vehicles, hybrid electric
vehicles, spark-free ventilations, pumps and
many more.
