Q: Why airflow based on 0.4"? A: Open air does not reflect the true amount of air flowing through a
core and other additional restrictions. For example, a fan may produce 4000 CFM at 0" but may only
flow about a few hundreds of CFM through restriction if the fan motor is too weak.
Q: What standard does this airflow vs. static pressure base on? A: This flow testing was conducted
based on AMCA 210-99. It is laboratory methods of testing fans for aerodynamic performance rating.
